Environmental Policy

Arneplant, as a company, is dedicated to the design, development, manufacture and marketing of polyurethane foams and insoles, and the design and marketing of footwear material, and is aware of the importance of carrying out its business to the satisfaction of its Stakeholders. To this end it works to offer products and services which comply with all the levels of quality required, while respecting all the environmental aspects necessary for sustainable development.

This Policy will be based on the following objectives:

  1. Arneplant considers the principles of the protection of the environment and energy efficiency to be important for their activity and for sustainable development, which determines the documentation, implementation and maintenance of a system of quality and environmental management appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impact of the activities, products and services of Arneplant throughout their life cycle.
  2. Compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements applicable in each case, and the protection of the Environment, in addition to the prevention of pollution, sustainable use of resources, mitigation of and adaptation to climate change as well as any other requirements that our company should apply relating to the environmental aspects of our products.
  3. Arneplant’s Environmental policy is based on our Management’s leadership and chain of command, and on the commitment of all our employees.
  4. Arneplant informs, trains and promotes the participation of all our employees in the different environmental aspects of the company and in the improvement of our processes, products and services to reduce environmental impact and its risks.
  5. Arneplant is committed to ensuring the continuous improvement of its environmental results and the efficiency of energy use by setting annual targets and carrying out the corresponding controls.
  6. Arneplant encourages its suppliers, subcontractors and external collaborators to participate in the improvement of the environmental aspects of its products and services.
  7. Our main Environmental strategies are part of the general objectives of our company, supported at all times by its Strategic Management. They are defined annually and are detailed in specific plans or programmes for their achievement.

All Arneplant employees are obliged to comply with and apply all environmental requirements and collaborate in our continuous improvement programme. From the Management we endeavour to promote environmental improvement by allocating the necessary resources and ensuring the dissemination and review of this policy, while taking into account the context of the organisation at all times.

Occupational health and safety policy

Prevention of occupational risks

These principles are the basis of ARNEPLANT’s commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, based on protecting the life, integrity and health of all workers, both our own and those of collaborating companies. Our Prevention Policy comprises the following elements:

  1. To integrate the prevention of occupational risks into the organisation and execution of production activities, and to comply with the regulations in force at all times.
  2. To organise the appropriate human and technical resources for the development of occupational risk prevention.
  3. To evaluate the risks present in order to eliminate them, and if not possible, to adopt the necessary prevention or protection measures to control them.
  4. To plan the preventive actions necessary to avoid or control the risks, and establish deadlines, assign people, equipment, methods and costs.
  5. It is essential to inform all workers of the risks inherent to their jobs, as well as to provide the necessary training on the equipment and measures to be adopted for their correct prevention.
  6. To prioritise collective protection over individual protection and provide the individual protection equipment defined after each job has been analysed.
  7. To monitor employee health in line with the risks of their jobs, both at the beginning and on a regular basis.
  8. To assign work teams and appropriate auxiliary equipment, so that the work is carried out safely.
  9. To analyse emergency situations to adopt the necessary measures in terms of first aid, firefighting and evacuation of workers.
  10. To coordinate our own work activities with those of other people who access the facilities to perform contracted work.
  11. To analyse accidents, incidents, first cures and occupational diseases that have not yet been eliminated, to get to the root cause and implement preventive measures.
  12. To promote the participation of all workers in issues related to the prevention of risks at work, as this is fundamental for the compliance and continuous improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety system throughout the whole company.
  13. To continuously improve all processes and management of Occupational Health and Safety to meet all legal requirements and increase Risk Prevention standards.

Corporate social responsibility policy

Arneplant, S.L. understands Corporate Social Responsibility (hereinafter “CSR”) as the responsibility that it assumes for the impact of its activity on society. In order to fulfil this responsibility, Arneplant integrates social, environmental, ethical, human rights and stakeholder concerns into its daily business and relationships with stakeholders.

Through its CSR policy, Arneplant must contribute to the following objectives:

  1. To drive the development of its CSR towards a transversal sustainable business philosophy. Our CSR policy is incorporated into the company’s strategy as an element of competitiveness, sustainability and responsibility.
  2. To promote the creation of sustainable value, to be shared with all the company’s stakeholders and to promote mutually beneficial relationships of trust.
  3. To measure, prevent and reduce the negative impacts of the company’s activity on its social, natural and economic environment, and to maximise the positive impacts in order to improve Arneplant’s contribution to society.
  4. To improve Arneplant’s reputation.

The main purpose of this policy is to promote and inspire responsible and sustainable business practices based on a rigorous commitment to compliance with legal obligations, ethics and transparency, respect for human rights, environmental protection and continuous and constructive dialogue with the company’s stakeholders.

Our CSR policy is applicable to, and mandatory for, all Arneplant employees, regardless of their position and function they perform.
